The summer of 2006 marks the 21st year of T.A.K.E./ABC’s involvement in the positive development of more than 20,000 young people. The T.A.K.E./ABC Basketball Classic, traditionally held in Columbus, Ohio, has achieved the reputation as one of the top summer tournaments in the Mid-West. The T.A.K.E./ABC Basketball Classic continues to provide opportunities for girls to showcase their talents in the presence of college coaches. T.A.K.E./ABC Basketball Classic strives to provide a positive atmosphere of good, friendly competition with an emphasis on attitude, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. This year we have added a boys side to the tournament - The Summer Slam.
TAKE/ABC Schedules will be available ONLY via the intenet. Please be sure to log on 1 week before the tournament start date to check your team schedule. All schedules are subject to change. Any schedule changes durning tournament will be posted at Family First.

Moving this tournament to the Family First Sports Park in Erie, Pennsylvania will give teams the opportunity to relax in a safe environment of fellowship and fun. As well as play basketball in a world-class facility.

The AAU State and National Champions and other top teams from Canada, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia have participated in past T.A.K.E./ABC Basketball Tournaments.

More than 80 college coaches have attended past T.A.K.E./ABC Basketball Tournaments, including coaches from Akron, Bowling Green, Bradley, Buffalo, California, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio University, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Penn State, University of Pittsburgh, Purdue, Robert Morris, Seton Hall, Tennessee, Toledo, West Virginia and others.

Family First Sports Park is rapidly becoming known as one of the best indoor and outdoor basketball complexes in the country. It features a 30,000 square foot indoor basketball center which sports two college and two high school hardwood floors—all with NBA style glass backboards and breakaway rims. There are a total of 16 shooting stations. The outdoor center features an additional eight full courts. Imagine all this on 70 acres with spectacular views of Lake Erie. Skills Contests
This year’s event will also offer the exciting skills contests, including a three-point contest, 2Ball Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest. These events are highly anticipated and they will live up to everyone’s expectations
